Setting Things Right

Just as Vata (airy humour), Pitta (fiery humour) and Kapha (Bilous humour) are put back to their rightful equilibrium (health) by the practice of alignment (yoga), so are Tamas (inertia), Rajas (activity) and Sattva (illumination) forces of nature put into equilibrium by practising righteous living (Dharma).

While yoga is a personal effort to set things right in ourselves; Dharma is a personal effort set in the societal context - keeping things in equilibrium for the common good.

This is never an easy thing: the body has its limits and so does society, and both are mortal. 

So, tend to your eternal self, when everything else fails.
